Looking back to the very first day of 2008 till today, the last day of 2008, i asked myslef what have i achieved, what have i not achieved, what have i done, what have i not done, whether i had a meaningful 2008, or had i just let another year go by without feeling a sense of achievement.
This year had really been a year with lots of things going on.
January:
Start of school in Meridian Junior Colledge, wearing mj's uniform for the last year. So many tests which many of us dreaded. Resolution was to study hard and to pass all my tests. But i think i didn't manage to fulfill this. Instead, i failed terribly. Worse than that in 2007.
February:
Tuturials, so many so many. Yet i was slacking away, STILL. All i/we had in mind was the long holidays-Chinese New Year. Noone really had the studying mood YET, though the teachers were always REMINDING us of the upcoming March block test. tsk tsk. Time passes the fastest when we are having fun, dont it? So yea, there goes February, although this Feb had been a longer one.
March:
Yea, there was indeed a march holiday. But it wasn't called holiday this year, it was called: STUDY BREAK. Yes. Had to mug for the March block test. I believe i did study. But, results showed no sign that i studied. Crap. Saddening isn't it? 29 March was the band BBQ, i remembered cause it was my birthday. Longbaos gave me a cake.
April:
I don't really know what's happening. All i know was that i slept late-using computer, woke up early-to go for lectures. Maybe i was half asleep during lectures and tutorials, or perhaps chatting away with iris and christine (i miss those days!)
May:
Rush rush and rush. All the teachers were trying to zooooooom pass everything. They said time was running out. Lectures, everything, was conducted in such fast pace. We had to try to keep up. I knew i was lagging already. yea yea, and then they start reminding us of Mid Year Examinations. Teachers are good reminders hur hur!
June:
Hey, last june i was having so much fun, going east coast park like free (it's free actually) and sentosa. Had to much fun! Overnight study at the airport. Yea, all those was last year. This year, went to school to study. Almost everyday? I don't remember very clearly. Oh! I went to pre-u seminar. But, i did study this time. Soon was the start of Mid Years. Had crappy papers. Results were out. I see many Us. Failed attempt again.
July:
I still had not settled down. Band was going for NBC. We went to support, when there was chem test the next day. Why did i even go in the first place. We were like stucked in between. We dont know the seniors, not so close to the juniors. We ended up all by ourselves, separated by some transparent thing. I thought we were invisible. haha. Wasn't a really good month yea.
August:
9 August come fast. Please. Yearning for that public holiday, although it's just a day. That will do. As i had said, the holidays weren't really holidays. I was studying for some test if i didn't remember wrongly. Or was i out? Nope, last year i was out. Did we start counting down to prelims? I guess so. Syllabus was almost complete.
September:
End of syllabus! Right? One week of study break. I still had alot of work undone. Untouched tyses, undone tutorials. But still, studying continues. I was thinking when my braces would be removed. haha.
October:
PRELIMS! I was happy it was over. Of course not with the results. It scared me. But i don't know how much impact it had on me. It was hard to study once again. Looking at the thick pile of notes lying everywhere. STRESSSSSS! By October, i had already master the art of sleeping anywhere. I slept when i was sitting on the chair, or just lying on the table-like people do during exams. I don't need a bed to sleep. I could even sleep while typing a sms, or when i'm chatting on MSN. Man, i really don't know how did i do that! And so many people said they did Maths to keep them awake. But it was different for me. I slept while solving math questions. zzz. Was counting down to A Levels. It was scary, yet not scary. I was looking forward to As, yet i was not prepare to face it. Thoughts were running wild. I was scared. Did i cry? Haha. General Paper was four days away, and i went for a wedding dinner. Everyone was busy mugging. Was i? I thought i was.
November:
3 2 1. 4 November: The start of nightmare/end of tortures! Day by day went by, i don't know how to describe the way they went by. It was fast yet slow. Papers after papers. After every paper, i would happily strike them out. I was disappoint with myself. Utterly. I hated myself for being so careless. I really hated myself then. I still remember so clearly (of course, it were just a month away). That chem paper. That very question. If only time clicked a little faster then. I regretted. I so wanted to CRY. I was filled with emotions. Nevertheless, i managed to survive through the A Levels. It's over. Let bygones by bygones. I shall face the consequences when the time is right. However, i did not feel as good as i thought it would be. It just felt as though another exam was over. I wasn't really elated. I couldn't feel the joy, the reality that As was indeed over, that i wasn't dreaming. Maybe i haven't really gotten over all my grave mistakes; All the scary thoughts. Anyhow. it's time to PARTY! hmmm. What did i do? Actually i don't really remember. I went shopping, i ate, i splurged - because of Japan. I was looking forward to band practices. Perhaps counting down to JAPAN!
December:
Out of all the months in 2008, i felt that December was the best month, especially those 9 days in Japan. It was the first time doing so many things. The alumnis, if i am counted as one, went up on SIA by ourselves :) I sat beside Val and next to her was Choon Rui. Back of us were Bryan, Zhenghong and Zhengyi. Choy was just beside us. While siying and christine was at the other window sit. I was quite high. But everyone wanted to sleep. I couldn't sleep la. The chair was so out-of-shaped. Arrived at nagoya, finally! The first breathe of JAPAN'S air. Checked in into ryokan. Got this super ulu room with mumchoy as my roommate. Haha. Then we went to Meiden, for the very first time. Took the train and walked 1km and finally arrived at Meiden! Had a warm welcome by them! It was really great. The days in nagoya passed really fast. We played, had great fun, it was really a fun time with them! The conbined concert was quite ok :) It was really saddening that we have to bid farewell to them! They sang COSMOS, which made so many of us cried. Hmm, i didn't cry. Weird huh. I cried at the slightest serial drama but not when i see people crying live! haha. We couldnt bear to leave them, but, the reality was that we had to. I was glad mass bathing was finally over too! HAHA. wth, i don't believe i actually mass bathed! And on the last night in nagoya some really scary stuffs happened too! LOL Luckily mumchoy and i had zy to escort us from room to room! LOL That night, knocking on the door was the scariest thing! haha. Bullet train the next day! woooo! Then we are finally in TOKYO! Disneyland! GREATEST, nope, one of the greatest day in japan! Toured the next day, before the one last day in japan. Free and easy! We went Disneysea! Yea, all on our own. Had ALOT of fun too!! And soon enough, it was time to go back to Singapore. Sat with christine and charmaine in the plane. SINGAPORE!
Everyone was still in the japan mood. Home of facebook was full of tags of photos in Japan! LOL As though japan was the in thing. haha. friends :) have been going out lately, catching up with my dear friends till my father complained. 29 dec-had my wisdom tooth removed. It has not recovered yet :( So yea, that's why i am counting down at home this year. Bleah. I'm missing out on all the fun! Nevermind, let's coutdown ONLINE together yea! What an end to 2008! Let 2008 be the past and move on to 2009! May 2009 be filled with happiness!! And my new year resolution shall be up soon!
Actually, to say the truth, although 2008 had been a sucky year, it was really a year that gave me great experience, experiences for the First time. I had love 2008. GOODBYE 2008!

Goodbye wisdom tooth 10:25 PM

Did i realise today was 29 dec? Maybe i did, maybe i didn't. Missed the bus. Was almost late for the appointment that i dreaded the most. Extraction. They made it sound so scary. It turned out fine. But i didn't have the courage to look at the needle though. haha. 3 injections. wow. how painful. But i'd rather have that type of short and sweet pain rather than this torturous pain now. Was feeling numb all the way since the start of the surgery till like now. I can feel the numbness slowly subsiding, with the pain creeping in. Man, this isn't any good feeling at all. It's making me having a headache. I can't even open my mouth properly. OH man, am i going to spent the last few days of 2008 in pain? What a good ending to 2008. Distract me! damn damn damn damn damn. i have that tooth beside me now. It's still bloody. HAHA. I don't think you will want to see it. haha.

crappy day 1:09 AM

I really dont know how some people walk in heels. It was freaking pain today when i had no choice but to wear that pair of heels to work. Walking from orchard station to tanglin shopping mall was already killing me. 2 more hours of non-stop walking really killed my feet. Blisters, sores. And worse, that stupid jeans had its dye running even thought it wasnt wet. my feet got stained. wth. cant wash off la. how am i going to wear slippers tomorrow! crap. cant expect me to wear shoes with all the blisters right. awww. hope they heal fast. real fast.

I'm a little mixed up with all the days cause it's holiday and everyday seems the same. Ok. So, today is friday. 24 dec was..... wednesday. Ok. Went to meet stac and the rest at bedok for singing session. haha. sang till 11 before going to east coast. haha. kw was mad? Met us at bedok and took a bus ride to parkway and went home cause he was going to puke anytime. haha. made our way to carl's junior and we spent the night there :)
25 Dec:
Back home at about 6 am bathed and slept till like 1 plus to find that noone's home. Anyway, went to meet stac and the rest for movie-twilight and dinner at breeks cafe. The food was delicious. haha.
26 Dec:
Boxing day. Gotta give tuition and then meeting xj for some shopping before going to work for 2 hours. haha. damn. i am goddamn tired. i need to sleep soon. like now.

RNB outing :) 11:37 PM

The alarm rang yet i couldn't really wake up! Not till 19 mins after my third alarm rang then i unwillingly cimbed out of bed. Rushed like mad a little. Went to geordon's place. Who knows, he's still eating breakfast. He's my student anyway. So yea, instead of starting at 9, it became at 12. I didn't know students don't prepare before tution. Surely not me. I would be awaiting the arrival of my teacher like ten to fifteen minutes before they arrive. Everything would be prepared. But not my student. It's like total opposite. Crap, and he's not doing his homework cause he went to stayover at his aunt's place. Students are always good at giving excuses aren't they. haha. Then went to wynn's house for violin lesson. HAHA. Quite fun ah, but it was really tiring. I think i had the correct holding postion for less than a minute! haha. then went off to meet ting before meeting the rest at eunos! mq for bowling! woo! not bad leh. i got 96 for the second game. haha. shall bowl more next time :) Park mall for buffet at sakae! Great day with the girls!
I really hope it wont rain tomorrow morning!

HAHA went for band prac with sy at ulu pandan cc again (actually is the second time to be exact) haha
Today's practice i was quite screwed because i wasnt using my mouthpiece. Sorry. But the songs were challenging :) Anyway, we went to IMM-band world to buy stuffs after prac. HAHAHA. finally, my b40 lyre! Bought zonda reeds too :) YAY! SO HAPPY
Reached home, happier :)
Tried out my lovely mouthpiece and reed :)
Went to parkway and got some stuffs too :)
Overall, today is a happy day :)
HAHAHA first time seeing so many smileys yea!
Awww, i really want to go to philyouth concert but sadly i have RNB outing! Which is something that cannot be missed too! So, opportunity cost. awww.

PINK BEIGE! 11:29 PM

I thought i was crazy for a moment when i when up to the cashier with a box of pink beige dye in my hands. haha. no, acutally i thought it was nice :) hahaha
went to hong's house today for hair-dyeing session! hahaha supposed to me mass dyeing haha but apparantly sy went to the salon. i decided to diy as you know, inflation, recession... hahhaa. cant afford to spend to much :) and, i'm still jobless. half-jobless to be exact! haha.

watched wishing stairs, which i watched in dont know sec what. haha. too long ago so yea, gave alot of false alarms! hahaha. i almost got bashed up! hahahaha! spagetti for lunch! which was a mixture of western, thai and chinese foor types. haha. great day :)

officially sick :( 1:06 PM

Oh man. I am officially down with flu and cough. Slept for almost twelve for the last 2 nights but it seems to be avail. Didnt meet christine and xj for jogging and today i gave badminton a miss. Awww! I want to exercise so badly. Its been a month since i really exercised. :(
Anyway, yesterday's SP band concert was great :) It was also leonard tan's last concert with them. I will miss his conducting, although i was never in his band.

drowsyness 9:44 PM

Here to continue the previous post. That day, meet gary choy yaju for some group work of chelsea :) haha. Like some project. LOL. Went off to meet xj, kw, ben and kf. Went to ecp. But it was drizzling so we decided not to cycle. It became bridging session again. With lots of crappyness. haha. Anyway, kw made sushi for us. Not that bad. haha. and it turned out to be our dinner since we did not buy dinner except ben. haha. Then went pooling. The last time i pooled was like last year. So well, was not very up to standard. haha. i wasnt in the first place if you know. haha. anyway, that day's games were really weird. the games indeed ended with the black ball entering the holes, but it entered before others went in. haha. luckily our last game ended with the black ball entering at the right time. haha. was already 11 plus then and so we had to head home. awww.
yesterday went to dental appt. oh no. i dont want 29 dec to come. afterthat went to meet others at the airport. sadly i wasnt in time to bid farewell to chealsea. haha. then went to marina square for some slacking.
today was badminton :) didnt turn out as fun as i thought it would be, partly due to the medicine i took last night. damn. why the drowsy effect not die off! till now, i am still sleepy. crap. anyway had my firsty tuition lesson today. it's really tiring. now i know how my teachers felt. haha. i'm still looking for a proper job. anyone has please tell me! thankssss!

Still tired 7:45 PM

Woo! First time i slept for almost 12 hours since a few months ago? Perhaps one year ago. HAHA. But my throat feels a lil weird, like those going to fall sick kind. Anyway, i havent gotten use to speaking in proper singlish yet. I was still in the chang chang mood. HAHA. and tomorrow is going to be a fun day! HAHA. i miss the 9 days in japan. 1M. awww. of course, the meiden people. haha. anyhow, i went back to mj to take my sgc and also a game of basketball and bridge and uno. Ah, and after dono how many days of no exercise, i was literary panting when it was only 10 mins into the game. luckily the weather today was fine, it was cloudy :) Oh! and people said i looked more tanned??? I was in jeans and long sleeves throughout the days in japan, except for the three days of skirt and blazer. How the hell did i get tanner? HAHA. anyway, i love to be tanned. HAHA. I have yet to upload the photos cause the digital camera is not home yet. Be patient. Good things doesnt come so easily :) hahaha.

ANYWAY,

Japan trip :) 11:19 PM

Yuhoo! I'm back!
3-11 Nov had been one of the greatest fun i had in many many years. The lift off the ground in SIA assured me that i was bidding goodbye to singapore for the time being. I am finally going to japan. HAHA. Had alot of fun with the meiden students. We played silly games that entertained ourselves. The 1km walk was like once in a lifetime thing. All the fun and laughter- memories. The last day at disneysea was prolly one of the best days in japan :)

Hello friends and stalkers (there's a difference if you dont know) i will be leaving singapore tomorrow at 1am! So dont miss me ya. Shall update you with lots of nice pictures!
